PRIORITIES

Kimberly is a dedicated advocate for the progress of Royal Oak Township. She knows the community's many challenges, such as financial instability, inadequate public safety services, low community engagement, insufficient resources for seniors and children, and community blight. Her thorough comprehension of these issues and her steadfast commitment to finding solutions make her the perfect candidate for treasurer.

  1. Property Tax revenues are the most significant source of income for our community. However, property tax collection is negatively affected during tough economic times. I am committed to identifying various economic development opportunities and revenue sources and considering all cost-saving measures.

  2. Public Safety concerns must be addressed through a comprehensive strategy recognizing the link between economic opportunity, enforcement, and prevention. Critical initiatives include community engagement, building code enforcement, and establishing after-school programs to create a safe community and contribute to economic growth.

  3. Community Engagement is crucial, and everyone affected by decisions related to Township government should have a say in the decision-making process. Therefore, I am dedicated to establishing a strategic process that allows the Board of Trustees to connect with residents and the business community.

  4. Limited resources and support are available for our growing senior population and children. A comprehensive plan must be developed to identify community programs, resources, and support systems for seniors and children and support for our growing senior population and children.

  5. Community blight has been an ongoing problem in Royal Oak Township. I propose establishing a blight task force to create a comprehensive abatement and reduction strategy. Blight's compounding effects contribute to our community's economic and social circumstances.
